Torque Tronix are UK & Irelands Premier Car Remapping Company.

We Dyno tested a Peugeot 307 1.6L without activ8 to begin with.

The car pumped out 124 BHP standard.

Then we added 200ml of Activ8 with a notice increase to 128 BHP!!

An extra 4 BHP by adding a simple friction reducer which took about 2 mins work.

If you are interested in remapping your diesels or Activ8 please visit: www.torquetronix.co.uk/shop for more details

  • @MrSonicAdvance Nice explanation below mate! I'm glad I didn't buy any, I hope some others see this before they chew up their motors with hydrocholic acid. Not pleasant stuff. :)

  • @johnhutch2000 Yeah, it fucks up your engine! :-D

  • .. a heartbeat away from being outlawed due to it being a particularly unpleasant pollutant, particularly to aquatic life.

I actually conducted the rotating disc with torque shaft demo and it WAS impressive. But it's a clever scam and I've been screwed out of £40. However, it IS a pretty good lubricant for extreme pressure applications, so I'll try and find a use for it somewhere.

I feel bad now, I think I'd feel bloody ill if I'd actually put this shit into my engine! :-(

  • I bought some of this stuff at the Clasic Motor show THEN did the research before adding it to my car. (Any unsuspecting users may want to look away now!)

It's a huge scam! The technology is "Chlorinated Hydrocarbons". The good news is it works REALLY well as a lubricant at low temperatures.

The BAD news is, at high temperatures (such as in a car) it forms hydrochloric acid which is, unsurprisingly, not great for the internals of your car. This stuff has been around since the 1930s and is..

  • I've used htis in my Harley Davidson Sportster in the Engine and Gearbox(with shared clutch) and its made one massive difference to the bike. Engine is smoother with less valve train noise. And the gearbox shifts a lot smoother with less "Clunk" into 1st that older sportster are renowned for. I've also used it in my chinese 125 commuter bike that I show no mercy to and thats also smoother than before, its good stuff.

  • Fab stuff!!! Put it in my 1.2 Punto! I am about to add it to my 1.4 Grande Punto. It actually really works! Made in UK too!!!!!

  • I've seen a 1st hand demo of this, and it is pretty amazing stuff. It actually polishes the internals of the engine (I've seen the parts after the test) and it truely works. IF your head gasket was to blow, and the oil mix with the water, with this stuff in, it doesnt matter. You can happilly drive on to your destination and get the fault fixed after. I put it in my Skyline. IT lasts about 4 oil changes too , so you dont have to refill everytime you change the oil.

  • Yeah £20 is proably the cheapest 4hp you'll ever get. I was looking into the long term effects of this avtiv8 stuff. Anyone know of any?

  • how do we know it's true?

  • Its not bad from doing nothing but adding friction reducer. £20 job and 2 mins work.
