Josh Pinkham (mandolin), Jeremy Kittel (violin), Simon Chrisman (hammered dulcimer), and Nathaniel Smith (cello) take on Kittel's arrangement of "Hey Joe," as sung and played by Jimi Hendrix, but with a few extra twists. Kittel originally arranged this for the Turtle Island Quartet's album "Have You Ever Been...?"

  • Thats genius :)

  • It's honestly a toss up between this and the Turtle Island version... the instrumental mixes are so different but they both work SO damn well... makes me proud to be part of the Saline Fiddlers knowing one of our alumni is one of the best jazz improvisationalists in the world! Sheer musical brilliance, the way you guys play of of each other (especially Jeremy and Josh). Never stop making music you guys!
