$20 worth of garage sale items. I took a little time off after I got back from KC. Now I'm back at it! Here is a link to my eBay store if you are interested in what I've got up for sale. Looking for great project car ideas. Let me know what you think. I love to get your comments and suggestions!!

  • Nice pick ups shooter. It is not easy to do it full time, if you have kids it helps them to get involved. I have problems with the one year old. Project car Mustang or Pinto LOL

  • @in4fun Yeah, my 5 year old loves to go with me. The problem is, he wants to keep everything Haha!!

  • yes the checking account is a big yes.....that is one of the first things you should do ...thats how you keep money seperate from your bill money........project car...MUSTANG, what elese.

  • @rjbunch71 Somehow I knew I would get a Mustang answer out of you!!

  • Where's the link??

As far as a project car goes. I can tell you to stay away from 2nd generation Camaro's. I've got one and the parts cost a fortune if you can find them.

  • @starvingtech Sorry about that. Thanks for the heads up. I have the link on there now.

  • Good comment about the separate account. I am planning on doing the same this week. Skip the project car and buy a turn key car. I have had both, you will spend twice as much money in the long run with a project car. A turn key car you can enjoy it right away. Even if you do all of the work yourself, think of the time and money you loose. Just like picking, take someone else's loss. Check out any antique car auctions for the best pricing. Stay with pre 72 cars, ford or gm.

  • Just an FYI, you got me thinking about the taxes so I did some checking. As of this year eBay/paypal will report your sales if you reach 200 transactions OR $20,000 in sales in a year. Which means if you reach that level they will require your ss# and proof you are who you say you are. I assume if you don't give them that info at that time they will shut you down.

  • Thx for the info on when eBay starts giving the IRS your transaction records. I'd been wondering when I would need to start worrying about that. Question, how do you prove your expenses when you're buying stuff at garage sales? Because I know the IRS doesn't take anybodys word, they want receipts. Lol

  • cool item!
