Television commercial by the pro-troop organization, Move America Forward against the Berkeley City Council.

On January 29, 2008 the Berkeley City Council passed anti-military resolutions, asking for residents to "impede" the work of recruiters and calling the Marines and their recruiting office "uninvited" and "unwelcome intruders."

It's not "disrespecting our troops" to oppose the people who recruit them to go die in pointless wars. It's respecting them as PEOPLE, and not as killing machines to enforce the political whims of a disconnected ruling class. "I'm tired of old men starting wars for young men to die in."

I'm a liberal thinking Canadian. I'm opposed to the Iraq war, but not the Afghanistan war. I disagree with some recruiters tactics but I do have a profound respect for anyone who will wear a uniform for their country. I would hope others will be careful to respect them too, even while voicing their opposition to their cause.
