My individual "box" braids and how I got them to curl.
After co-rinsing, I reapplied the Kinky Curly Leave in, coconut oil and castor oil before rolling with the flexi rods.

  • hi, did you used to make braids when your hair was shorter (like 5-6 inches long)? I don't know why my hair just stays very rigid whenever i do braids...

  • @babines42 no, when my hair was shorter I used extensions for braids or did 2 strand twists. otherwise i got stiff braids as well.

  • I know you said you have different textures and that contributes to your ends being partially straight and I believe you are correct. However here is some food for thought. I went to a stylist at Devachan before and they told me that keeping your hair in braids for long periods of time can actually change your hair texture. He told me that he sees lots of women that always put extensions with no heat and there hair texture changes. I thought that was interesting lol. (however, i got micros
