Very nice. I'm working on one myself right now. Just mounted the second actuator. Next will be putting the tracker, motor driver circuits and stuff together. Hope to upload a demo in a few months.
I'm curious what material / process did you use for the reflective coating?

The sensor is used to track the sun . The circuit gets a signal from the sensor and drives the actuators. The circuit has enough power to power the 12 V actuators.
The sensor determines the position of the sun which drives the actuators to focus on the dish

Very cool!
Can you tell me how you powered your linear actuators? Do you have a microcontroller in line somewhere? Also, are you using an optical solar follower or other input to track the sun?

This is good. Would you know what's happening in India vis-a-vis solar power?

In India it is mandatory to have solar water heaters on new building complexes. Not much is going on the solar side from my friends in India.

Any chance you might post a schematic/wiring diagram?

Where are you based.

Where did you get the hardware. How much voltage are you getting. Steam? Did you build it or was it a kit. Thanks for the great video. So many questions:-) Awesome. It looks like it is lined with a 75% mirror. Do a video at dusk to show the surface, camera will handle light better.

The hardware is a Standard Satellite Dish. The arms have to modified. This dish to track the sun path using the actuators.Actuators are also the standard one to motorise a dish
The heat exchanger was machined by my associate. He has a machine shop so he welded and machined the heat exchanger.
The Dish raises the temperature 3 gallons of water by 30 degrees Fahrenhiet in approximately 1 minute on a sunny day.
