  • FYI: vince33x is a right-winged, brainwashed bigot and misogynist. He quotes people like David Duke, former KKK big-shot. He acts like he's educated but continuously quotes twisted statistics from dubious websites. Morons like him are a danger to us all, especially the middle class. Don't fall for his bullshit.

  • @vince33x That is utter bullshit and you know it. Or maybe you don't.

  • @vince33x

Do a Google search on the following words: Greg Mankiw's Blog The Budget Balance

Look for the page with this same EXACT title. (When I do the search, it's the fourth entry down)

This shows the budget deficit/surplus for years 1980 to 2009.

Note how the deficit steadily decreases from 1993 to 2000, with the last three of these years showing a surplus. This is an extraordinarily straight line. There's no jump after 1997 one would expect had something suddenly improved the economy

  • @SanDoggy10 Fact: Clinton and the Democrats had deficits before the tax cuts ('93 - '97) and Surpluses after the tax cuts.

  • @vince33x

    > Clinton didn't have surpluses until after the Republican tax cuts. The surpluses occurred in '98, '99, & '00.

Again, looking at a budget deficit chart shows a virtual straight-line from 1993 to 2000, from deficit to surplus. If the 1997 tax cuts had any affect on that, one would expect to see a bump after '97. But no, just a continued straight line. There is no correlation.

  • @vince33x

    > Tax cuts, not tax hikes, caused the [Clinton] boom years of the 1990s

How can you make that claim without being embarrassed? Take a look at a historic GDP rate chart and you will see that the GDP rate increased gradually after the 1993 tax hikes and then decreased gradually after the 1997 tax cuts... the exact opposite of what you're saying!

I'm not saying that tax hikes stimulate the economy. I'm just saying that you are wrong. Again

You know, it's easy to look these things up.

  • @SanDoggy10 A tithe is voluntary, it isn't a subsidy. Why should people be FORCED to pay for services (i.e.> Gov't schools) they don't use...that's fascism.

  • @vince33x included in private sector administrative costs).

  • @SanDoggy10 Comparisons of private sector administrative costs with those of government are misleading. Many government administrative expenses are excluded in such comparisons, such as what it costs employers and government to collect the taxes needed to fund the single-payer system, and the salaries of politicians and their staff members who set government health-care policy (the salary costs of executives and boards of directors who set company policy are

  • @vince33x BTW, Clinton would never had cut taxes had there been a Democrat-controlled Congress; Dick Morris had to browbeat Clinton into going along w/Tax cuts and welfare reform.
