Sounds aren't for sale, they're my offspring. :)

And whether your FM8 sounds like this or not, it all depends on the sounds you're making or using. As I mentioned in the Warcraft 2 FM8 remix, factory presets are usually dull and aimed at electro/house/ambient.

In reality, many sounds aren't that complex. How to make sounds like these?

- forget about the past. This isn't FM7 nor an SY nor a DX, be opportunistic.

- think about how sounds work in real life, and apply that to FM8.
