We ride a Montgomery Hydraulic Department Store Elevator, in what is the Dead Galleria Mall (Per-se), Worcester, Massachusetts.
* It's a Montgomery
* Modded by KONE
* Otis added the voice
* Schindler puts in new controller!
* IT'S A MUTT!!
Unfortunately, Schindler got their hands on this as well, as evident by the VERY delayed call aknowledgement, Micronic-Style muffled voice (Probably EPCO, but you can tell it's Schindler crapiness, or Otis did this during the Outlet Days), and a floor counter that completely does not work (main floor always lit). On top of this, it has Schindler's famous 15-second leveling! (I clocked it!) At least they left the fixtures well enough alone!
This elevator is in the West Wing of the dead mall, which includes the 20-story office tower. This part of the dead mall is now office space, and from where the elevator is located, is roughly where Kennedy's Department Store was located (Galleria Days. Don't know what was on the 2'nd floor in the Outlet Days, but I know Media Play was on the first floor, elevator completely blocked off). Now, this area are mostly local government offices, and on the first floor, on the outside, vacant storefronts, most of them (Media Play part).
This will be the only part of the former Galleria that will remain, after the full City Square Commercial/Residential project is completed, as well as the 8-story Flagship Bank Building, and some of the Galleria's "Catacombs" (maybe the Catacombs).
oh shindler shindler
