@Larry3200 Oh I nearly forgot about my BMW 316i petrol. It never saw a days service for £550 and that banger was at 180,000+ and that was just a 1.6 engine. "Ford were the best sellers" Sales records really solidify a manufacturers reputation don't they. British people are naive and stupid and will buy almost anything. Fix Once Repair Daily inside a big circled problem is what a Mondeo has on it. Doesn't matter how many miles it clocks up on the digits, it doesn't stop it being a crap car.

@Larry3200 Wow its got 100,000 miles on it that is so outstandingly reliable for a 2.0 petrol engine. I had a Fiat Bravo 1.4 with 112,000 on it which never saw a days service and a 1.6 Bravo with 110,000 on it and still going. My dads A4 has got 200,000 on it and my sisters crappy little Rover 200 had 120,000 on it. The Mondeos were never rust proofed on thin sheet metal and Dagenham never gave the undercoats a lick of wax. Banger racing and battering rams is all Mondeo's are ever good for.

@1ns4ne1d10t you have to be joking right? because that is the biggest load of shit. my father bought a 1993 ford mondeo 2.0 GLX petrol brand new and he still has his car today, over 100k it has never let him down once because he has taken care of his car. you say "worst cars of that time" ... they were also the best selling cars of that time. the build quality is completely normal for a car of that price and age.

@tiniendubzjohnston96 Mondeo's were the worst cars of that time. They had comical thin sheet metal which lead to easy body denting and fast rusting, they were put together badly, the interior quality was a joke, the electricals were faulty, they had poor brakes and they often leaked like seives in the rain. Not to mention the laughable wafer-thin plastic on the bumpers which mean't they were always covered in gaffa tape. They were trash, absolute trash.

@tiniendubzjohnston96 aye, each to their own and your comment is fair, unlike the other johnston who seems a bit lost for words that mean anything

manthing mondeos are the greatest car from that time but it's the new scrappage scheme which means they are going to the claw
