Etna - Eruzione 2000

Il 2000 è stato l'anno che ha reso protagonista assoluto il Cratere di Sud-Est. Oltre 60 parossismi che hanno dato spettacolo per mesi in tutta la Sicilia orientale.
L'ultima attività del vulcano era cessata nel novembre 1999 e da allora il vulcano era rimasto addormentato.
D'improvviso alle 2,00 del mattino del 26 gennaio 2000 il tremore comincia ad alzarsi ed alle 6,00 il fianco sud-orientale del Cratere di Sud-Est si squarcia e si apre una frattura lunga un centinaio di metri. Da quì si alzano alte fontane di lava ed una colata che si affaccia sulla Valle del Bove. Da quel momento si registrano, come già detto, ben 60 fasi parossistiche in sei mesi. Lultima è il 5 giugno 2000 ed il protagonista è sempre il Cratere di Sud-Est. Laltezza delle fontane di lava più di una volta supera il chilometro. Uno tra gli eventi più spettacolari prende vita il 15 febbraio 2000 (la prima immagine di questo video) quando si vede innalzarsi dalla cima del Sud-Est una fiamma alta 1000 metri. Inoltre si formano due conetti effusivi alla base del cono, uno a nord e laltro a sud. Ai due piccoli coni viene dato il nome di "Sudestino" e "Nordestino". Dalla prima bocca vengono emesse le colate più dannose perchè a più riprese raggiungono Torre del Filosofo, lultima struttura da raggiungere prima dei crateri sommitali, risalente al 1966-1970. Il 6 giugno 2000 lEtna si placa e per i restanti sei mesi dell'anno non produce nuove fasi parossistiche ne dal Sud-Est ne dagli altri crateri sommitali.

The year 2000 was the year that made the absolute protagonist the Southeast Crater. Over 60 paroxysms which gave the show for months throughout the eastern Sicily.
The last volcanic activity had ceased in November 1999 and since then the volcano had been sleeping under two meters of snow. Suddenly at 2.00 am on 26 January 2000 the tremor begins to rise to 6.00 and the south-eastern flank of the South-East Crater and it rips you open a long gap of one hundred meters. From here they get up high lava fountains and a lava flow that overlooks the Valle del Bove. From that moment there are, as already mentioned, 60 paroxysmal stages in six months. The final is June 5th 2000 and the protagonist is always the Southeast Crater. The height of the fountains of lava more than once over the kilometer. One of the most spectacular events to life February 15 2000 (the first image of this video) when you see rising from the top of the South East a 1000 meter high flame. Also effusive form two cones at the base of the cone, one north and another south. For the two small cones is given the name "Sudestino" and "Nordestino". Musica praticamente impeccabile per questo montaggio, immagini ovviamente spettacolari e nel complesso l'editing del filmato è davvero stupendo.

Un plauso a TonyEtna si vedono immagini che praticamente io non avevo neppure visto.

Come tutta la tua serie di video dell'Etna, questo è fatto molto bene e ci fà ritornare dei ricordi stupendi!

Solo due piccole correzioni al testo: gli episodi di giugno erano l'1 (due parossismi), il 5, l'8, il 14, e il 24, e poi c'erano due altri il 28 e 29 agosto. Il "Nordestino" è un conetto formatosi al Cratere di Nord-Est nel 1970, quello sul fianco nord-orientale del Sud-Est lo chiamavamo "Levantino".
