  • @FrozenSparky Figured as much. The thing is, the best metal pulls in from all sorts of other music - classical, traditional, folk, whatever. It's what separates good from great and imitative from original. When you start exploring what your favorite musicians listened to while they were forging their sound, you'll find a lot of stuff that will surprise you.

  • @midwestconcertvideo haha i heard its famous but i dont really listen to this kind of music :D im more into epic and complicated metal bands .

  • @FrozenSparky Yeah, I'll sound like an old fart, but I love traditional Bulgarian choral music. Last saw them at a Bulgarian church in Chicago called St. John of Rigla.

  • @FrozenSparky Yeah, pretty much every nation and people in the world has a neighborhood in Chicago.

  • @midwestconcertvideo hah cool :D

  • @FrozenSparky I live in Chicago in a neighborhood with a large Bulgarian population. The grocery store on my block distributes the local Bulgarian language papers.

  • @FrozenSparky They should consider it. Part of the whole US School of Rock thing is to build confidence as well as talent and skill. I've been videotaping these kids for years, and seen them grow from nervous beginning guitar player looking at their fingers to skilled professionals tossing off the most difficult licks and starting their own bands.

  • @midwestconcertvideo nah my rocl school has nothing to do with school of rock im from Bulgaria which is in europe.. no gigs

  • @FrozenSparky The gigs are the most important part - getting up on stage in front of an audience is what rock & roll is all about, and what you'll do if you choose to continue in music. The best kids from each school get picked to actually tour their region of the country. Look at my videos labeled "Midwest All-Stars".

They are expanding internationally, so your school may wind up becoming a School of Rock franchise. The ones in Kansas City and Chicago originally were independent.

  • @midwestconcertvideo DAMN thats awesome!! i to a rock school in my country but we dont do gigs...
