Android 2.2 Froyo, G1, CR_GOTFROYO_Test15

ChiefzReloaded's CR_FROYO_test15 running on the HTC g1. The rom is almost usable, it is a mix of the sdk version and the nexus OTA version. it has all the google apps.

i have and iphone 3g jailbroken and unlocked and i want to buy a g1 rooted.......should i or not?

@johntruce2 the HTC G1 is old. unless your buying it to play around with android a fiddle with root its not worth it. as a daily phone you would be behind the curve.

i just upgrade it and i dont have the app market. and i cant download it eather?

@KriegHeil they couldn't update the bootloader to change the rom size limit of 64 via OTA. 2.2 needs a larger rom space. that's why they can't update beyond 1.6.

@unknownkwita but is the android 2.2 better than the iphone plane ios? and will i had more customization options with the g1 but im really tired of lookin at the same boring screens for the iphone

@TheGary14 Is it stable and doesn't it lack RAM needed for external applications? I've heard T-Mobile (G1 a.k.a. dream seller) didn't wanted tu upgrade from latest stable 1.6 for this reason as there was not enough RAM.

You know, what's for 2.2 Android if you can't run there some apps (or multitask)?
