Hello, I'm Rebecca Field with a UPI entertainment update.
Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora has reportedly left rehab. People magazine reports the rocker left the treatment facility after spending nearly a week there. Pop star Prince is reuniting with Columbia Records. The label has picked up his newest album "Planet Earth" which will hit stores July 24th. Prince will be performing at several venues in London this summer.
Isaiah Washington is speaking out about being fired from "Grey's Anatomy." The actor told Entertainment Weekly he is sad about having to leave the show. He says last week he got a call from the show's creator Shonda Rhimes saying he would not be returning for the fourth season of the show. The actor was at the center of controversy when he made an anti gay slur about his co-star T.R. Knight.
The satirical show "Robot Chicken" is set to take on "Star Wars." With the blessing of the movie's creator, George Lucas, the show's creators Seth Green and Matt Senreich will do a special half hour animated parody of "Star Wars". Lucas even supplies his voice to the show. "Robot Chicken" airs on the Cartoon network and uses toys to act out humorous situations based on popular U.S. figures and topics. The special episode airs on Sunday and will play throughout the day.
That's all for now, Thanks for watching today's entertainment update.
