They tried to have Obama in public debates and live television so it couldn't be edited by the media... what's wrong with that? I think it's the best way to show your candidate "without filtering" as she says...

The bottom line is that Obama's team understood the mood of the press, which had done a masterful job of turning America against the Bush administration during his last term. During the election they feasted on Sarah Palin like ravenous wolves, and idolized the young "Black Barry" with the Blackberry, giving short-shrift to anything Republican. The Obama guys weren't so much geniuses as they were simply pimps holding out bait for an already horny press corps.

Sarah Palin was her own worst enemy. All the Obama campaign had to do was let her talk. The more press she got, the better Obama looked. Heck, she makes BUSH look smart!
