The Experimental Motorcycle parking charges were on the agenda and No To the Bike Parking Charges campaign was there. A petition was handed in at the meeting against the charge, as well as a speech by Councillor Paul Dimoldenberg about the charge, which Councillor Danny Chalkley (Spear-head of the charge) responded with the same old nonsense. He looked very embarrassed and was greeted with jeers from the public gallery, where a fair few of you campaigners had turned up! http://www.notobikeparkingfees.com
In spite of previous meetings appearing here, oddly, WCC have now made up " No cameras" rule, without any legal backing that they can produce, now difficult questions are now being asked about parking contracts and related breaches of EU legislation! Some rather burly and uncivil servants attempted to enforce this at the public committee meeting on 7 Dec. Search for Westminster Council: A Police State?

Good luck to you, fellas. They'll be charging pedestrians next.

The security drone at the door said "No cameras".
Is that an actual, solid rule, or just the normal knee-jerk reaction of a door guy? I would suggest challenging them on it next time, and see if they back down.

Thank you very much for letting me know. If I had gone on Saturday, I guess I would have been protesting on my own! Looks like I will be attending the bike show on Sunday then. ;)
