Jim Treacy, EV owner in Washington, DC, created the cover of Why Wait For Detroit in 1991. Thanks, Jim! His car appeared on a 20/20 show in 1990 -- an alternative to imported oil

  • Poison painted on the side to keep onlookers away!? That's hilarious!

If I had a Citicar, I'd upgrade it to 96V with a set of Universal Battery UB121100 AGMs. Although the Citicar gets scary after 50 mph(and on 48V, only goes 40 mph), a 96V setup might allow 70 mph!

Contactor controllers have no current limiter but the battery short circuit current. Get some AGMs, and it will burn rubber.
