Lionel Andrés Messi, (né le 24 juin 1987 à Rosario, (Argentine) plus communément connu sous le nom de Lionel Messi est un footballeur argentin jouant au poste d'attaquant ou de milieu offensif au FC Barcelone.

Lionel Messi s'inscrit dans la grande tradition des joueurs au futur grandiose, aux cotés de Kaká, Robinho et autres Cristiano Ronaldo. Sa vitesse, son accélération mais surtout sa redoutable technique ont fait de ce gaucher un des joueurs préférés des supporters faisant sur le terrain le bonheur des socios du FC Barcelone et lui vaut la comparaison avec Maradona[1].

Mesurant 1,69 m et pesant 67 kg, ce gaucher porte déjà sur son dos l'étiquette de grande promesse du football international.
