I know my school system I attended always had green seats on the buses. They did used to have black floors until 1998 but after all kinds of issue of children being left on the bus Baltimore County decided no longer to use black floors. They started getting new buses in 99 with green floors and today I believe the newer buses have gray floors but I dont know what year that started. I know my Middle school bus driver has a 2010 Thomas C2 today and it has gray flooring.

To me it definitely sucks that Baltimore County still doesnt varietize their fleet. Lately it seems they are only purchasing Thomas builts and occasionally some Internationals but it would have been nice to see the Blue Bird Vision in Baltimore County but most likely that wont happen.

@MrWill1985 I'm a person for variety myself, some yards I visit have multiple model years, manufacturers, chassis, etc. and some have a standard fleet across the board. A standardized fleet also reduces costs when it comes to parts and efficiency, I'm assuming Baltimore Co. is a large fleet so standardization must be important when agencies are fighting for every bit of funding they can get these days.

Ive never ridden a Blue Bird Conventional with the restyled upper side walls. The only Blue birds I rode have the flat upper side walls. And I think all Blue birds have the speakers and lights on the ceiling. Same with the old style Thomas's. I dont know for sure the speaker situation with the C2. But I know the IC CE the speakers and lights are on the upper side walls.

@MrWill1985 The extra speakers are not standard as far as I know, the lights always have been.

where is your side emergency exit door on that bus?
biglinc1 1 year ago
@biglinc1 Ohio does not require side emergency exits like NY and other states.
