Lastly I would like to touch on media and the idea of safety. I believe that living in a rural area is a lot more dangerous as appose to a security complex but would instead of reading things i would have expect might happen in a place not Sandton, what to know what i should look out for in my personal environment as a middle class guy also trying to leave SA but cant as to economical position.

I ascribe knowledge and operation of technology as a factor that empowers people to leave SA, as a quick search for personal loans and jobs overseas takes about 15min.

I think you state a very good truth to the state of the drain to which South Africa is experiencing and with your question shows to me is that the people born here in South Africa cant leave to elevate social constraints on them as many middle class people in SA does. We do however see people moving to SA but not really away from, maybe because of the cost of relocating, over R5000.
