The original with Depeche Mode "Just cant get enough" was blocked so I just threw this music over the top. No time for another big edit...........................

I started the day at Altona by trying to get a couple of squid for fresh "Critter" bait. Well the squid were that thick that I bagged in no time. I dropped the pick just on dark, burleyed and waited. No critter this time, just a couple of pinkies. I was fishing from my Hobie Pro Angler Kayak.

  • how do you have your transducer mounted ?

  • @youngms44 - It is an in hull installation. The transducer if fixed inside the hull using AllClear. It shoots through the hull.

  • hey rhino great videos. i have a few questions :D

    1. how far out have you gone in the bay?

    2. ever had sharks around you? if so what breed and size?

    3. how much was you yak?

if you could answer it would be great. by they way great squid and video :)

  • @stip27 - I've been up to 8 kms out.

Apart from hooking up to and busting off from a bronzie twice, I haven't seen any other sharks around..

The yak alone is $3350 before all the accessories, gps/sounder, rod holders etc

  • Why are'nt the Squid inking you? They are huge for sure. These parts don't offer them up that size in our bays here but they ink all over when you hook'm up! I am dying to purchase the Hobie Pro Angler! Just can't get the funding together just yet though. What an awesome craft!

  • Really liked the vid!

Got a couple questions bout that sounder/GPS.

There worth around $600 right?Do you think the screen size is big enough and are they value for money in your opinion?

    Cheers.

  • ahh you were gonna post depeche mode...do you like the new dave gahan stuff??? and are you wearing a "go pro" helmet cam? or i think thats the name of the cam ;) hey if you like depeche check out a group called beborn beton another group called iris, and another group called devision. love the squid jigging but im a sceptic about ocean creatures.the vessle used is not big enough "should have brought a bigger boat" would be scary out there hahaha TIGHT LINES BRO! and shimano rules!!!!! :)

  • Very interested in your camera set-ups. It looks like the Hero camera's you're using, the one in the sail mast hole really looks great. Your videos are wonderful. It would be great to deal with you directly at answer some of my questions about filming Hobie kayaks. If possible, please contact me direct. r257jediny@yahoo.com. Thanks. sifisto.
