You mightn''t have realised it but I was replying to a post by chip3fav12. And I repeat, the ARRANGEMENT is horrible. This is the way an acapella choir sings Three Blind Mice, Frere Jacques or Jingle Bells. These young people could do much better if their conductor thought hard about the WORDS and how to express the majesty of them. The words are not jingly and certainly not trite. Jolly carols "God rest you Merry!", "We wish you a Merry Christmas" and "Deck the Halls" can be sung like this.

Do you understand the meaning of christmas songs? I think you don't understand a bit of it. These people didn't sing every tone perfectly clear, but I'm sure they have put a lot of feeling and pride in the song. Open your heart and be a little more positive. It won't be long anymore before it's Christmas.
Folks well done!

The arrangement is horrible! It turns one of the most majestic of all hymns into a trite, zippy, little jingle. This is NOT "how it is supposed to sound". Songs work best when the arrangement and performance respect that the words carry meaning, and think about how to express them.
Try singing "Summertime". "Yesterday" and "Somewhere over the Rainbow" at this speed. You'll make nonsense of all of them!
