Plot Summary: Urusei Yatsura is the story of the unluckiest and most lecherous young man alive, Ataru Moroboshi. When aliens decide to invade Earth, Ataru is randomly selected to defend his planet by playing a game of the aliens national sport, tag. Should he win, the world shall be saved. However, Ataru is motivated for far less noble reasons, as the one he plays against is revealed to be the curvaceous alien princess, Lum. The game goes for 10 days, and on the last day, Ataru, motivated by his girlfriend assuring him marriage (and consequently, a marriage night one can assume) should he win, finally catches Lum. However, with his victory he gives a cry of joy for his coming marriage, which is misinterpreted by Lum to be a marriage proposal. She promptly agrees, beginning the two's "marriage" together.

  • Its MUCH better than InuYasha.

  • It has random humor. It's funny. The manga makes me laugh a lot though, so I suggest that above all else.

  • @KouheixHazuki I never got that idea with the Ranma 12 pairing, I mean you got same amount of hints with them as you did with Lum/Ataru. I watched both shows Ovas and movies, if I missed some thing that was said. I'd love it if we got a continuation for the series, new episodes please! I love the show the way it is now, don't remake it please. Only thing we'd get out of a remake is maybe better animation and new voice actors.

  • This is really great good job 3

  • Simply spectacular.

  • this was my intro to urusei yatsura. i love this series!!

  • Oh god the kanji is making this so hard to read ;__;

    But, once again, thanks for uploading, I love this song. :3 I remember listening to this when I was 11...

  • you put this togerthervery nice great job

  • SO CUTE!!! ¦D

  • Takahashi Rumiko-sensei = genius

  • I don't think the series needs a remake though it would be nice to see something like a movie or OVA that gives a better glimpse at life for Ataru and Lum and the gang in an actual future not like the supposed ones in Inaba the Dreammaker. At least in Ranma 1/2 and Inu Yasha it was given that the pairs were married. In UY you have to hope everything worked out for everyone though Lum's doornob being placed on a door could be signified as that being the future that will occur for them.

  • I'm not so sure that UY would be as funny in today's society. I think it belongs in the '80s, and doesn't deserve the disgrace of a remake.
