Duh, don't most religious leaders tend to be more conservative....so yes, most would want a Republican...but frankly you've got to be loopy to think he cares that much about whose president...other than he wants someone that will do the best job.

I don't see how a "business" relationship between a company and a man who doesn't own ANYTHING AT ALL could possibly exist. I also do not see how the Catholic Church being 100% consistent with the teachings of Christ have anything to do with trying to get a Republican elected. I also don't see how protecting the identity of an accuser of the Church is bad moraly. The accuser can certainly reviel themselves if they want to. Oh,but you Americans want to sue the Church even when we protect people.
