well, this may break the fight but i have found water/ice based attacks to receive very weak counters and if you use this you can make this fight much easier just a thought
-
That thing you said about you shutting off the game after the Golem beat you happened to me five or six times the first time I played.
-
I think Alfador became Gogo in Final Fantasy VI. It makes sense if you think about it.
-
i named my cat alfador... honestly i forgot why after a few years but now i remember :D
-
i lost to that final move with frog and i thought it was like a "not gonna stay alive ending boss move" to that battle
-
How convenient! The only battle of the game that I lost and it doesn't matter at all!
-
what is that breathing sound

Easy way to beat Golem: Rotate Marle, Lucca, and Crono casting their respective elemental spells (I say Marle here because her magic stat is higher than Frog's). It will take a long time, but if you keep rotating the spells, the Golem's ATB keeps resetting. It will never attack past the first round if you do it right, and even if it gets a shot off, it won't do much (its Magic stat is pathetic compared to its Physical stats...)

uh oh I lost this fight....what happens to me now? not 100% ending i assume?
I always wondered how Schala was pronounced. You say "Ska-la" and I always thought it was "Sha-la." Interesting.

the 'goofy' sounding name is actually a reference to Milton's Paradise Lost: 'mammon' is the name Milton associates with the demon of avarice; who "Ransacked the centre, and with impious hands / Rifled the bowels of their mother Earth." Pretty cool.
