Collaboration Award Winner: Capital IDEA

Capital IDEA received the Collaboration Award for its Teacher Pipeline Project partnership with Austin Independent School District, Austin Community College, St. Edward's University, Huston-Tillotson University, Austin Interfaith, and Education Austin. With only 60% of first-year teachers in Texas returning to the classroom for a second year, the partnership has created Central Texas' first "grow your own" teacher training project aimed at creating a better prepared and diverse supply of teachers for Central Texas classrooms.
