@DoloresAnne1 The term Gypsy Vanner didn't refer to a breed originally but now they are a registered breed rather different from true gypsy horses since they are often larger, hairier and more draught like. I didn't see many that looked like that breed. Most of these look like Gypsy cobs which aren't classed as a breed but a type and are far more practical or they wouldn't exist. They were often bred from Dales, Shires, Clydesdales and Friesians but can be any mix. It's the type that matters.

Gypsy horses were originally bred from the Shire/Clydes Drafts and Fells/Dales pony correct me if i'm wrong

Gypsy Vanners arnt a breed they are a type and are just as inbred as a thoroughbred horse but a thoroughbred is at least a breed

@bepoore - oh yes! they have been bred to be 'people' horses. They are very intelligent, gentle, and love to be with people.
