January 2006
Almost every day seems to bring more horror stories on fossil fuels. We're bombarded with reports about global warming. The price of oil keeps increasing. But with each gloomy media prediction, the nuclear industry can boast: we've got the clean answer. This week's documentary looks at different approaches to nuclear power. It focuses on Australia and Scandinavia - where attitudes couldn't be more different. While Australia derives 80% of its energy from coal, half of Sweden's power is nuclear. Could Nuclear hold the answer to the world's looming energy crisis?
Produced by ABC Australia
Distributed by Journeyman Pictures
This is astounding. Since Hiroshima and Nagaski -- the nuclear age has been imperiling the planet. Constructing the future energy needs of humanity based on a nuclear model is destined for disaster. There is no way to safely dispose of the massive amounts of dangerous waste. Nuke facilities are most often located near or on major water sources AND WITH RISING SEA LEVELS -- THE VULNERABILITY OF THESE FACILITIES IS CLEAR. FUKUSHIMA IS JUST ONE OF MANY TO COME. NUKE POWER WILL DESTROY US.

@analyzingfunny Let's go Nuclear lets go!
I love Nuclear, I don't think you exactly understand my obsession. Of coarse I hug Nukes. I joined a pro-Nuclear march once! It was lovely :) We sang and we chanted, and built a whole new culture around Nuclear Power! :)

@analyzingfunny Yeah I hug plutonium real tight.
I know I'm right. GEET stands for Gross Electric Einsteinium Thermal - GEET Nuclear Power Plant.
i.e. Gross Electric Einsteinium Thermal Nuclear Power Plant. Thanks for supporting my cause :)
GEET Nuclear Power Plant.

@analyzingfunny Yes, you are right, GEET can work in ANY generator situation. And since it burns 80%water and 20%used oil its much safer that the evil Pluto which you hug like a tree-hugger hugs trees. Thanks for Google searching "free geet plans" and youtube searching "geet generator runs on coffee and beer".

@analyzingfunny You know, I would actually love to see a live demonstration of this.
Nuclear Power will take us to the final frontier. To distant planets. To the furthest reaches of our solar system. To the smallest particles in the Universe. Nuclear is wonderful. Nuclear is beautiful. Nuclear is Awesome. Nuclear is Power.
