@bigkiwial I'm not a sailmaker but i know the difference between gennakers and asymetrical spinnakers.
Asy's are deaper spinnakers made for going quite low are are for going as low as possible.
Gennakers are flatter spinnakers. used on bigger boats for tighter reaching but also a lot in fast planing boats or other boats that only sail with the apparent wind. Probably why you only knew of gennakers.

Is there a sailmaker out there? Is there such a thing as an asymetrical spinnaker? Cant gennakers be built full for running deep? In fact in any shape you want it!! I have sailed sports boats for years and have never heard of asymetrical spinnaker!!
