I'm not really sure what you're talking about. There are basically as many slow songs on this record as fast. And the same is true for every other Thile record.
nd I love the Gillian Welch original, but I think this song is great at this speed too. In fact, I think the speed is part of what makes it work for them.

Sing and play it faster next time and chug Espresso between solos. Chris Thile is great but unfortunately he's getting totally stuck in the "faster means better" mode in nearly everything he does. Great song too but way too fast, he needs to cut down on the caffeine bigtime.
