The journey took the crew on a 77,000 mile journey to the farthest reaches of the globe. Driving from the farthest north to the farthest south points of each continent, The World by Road successfully circumnavigated the world by road both east to west and north to south. After meeting with leaders, non-profits and interesting people from all over the world, they are now working on editing a feature length documentary, a book, and speaking tour to universities and schools around the United States. So why do it? TWBR realizes that with only 5% of Americans leaving the United States each year, we all need to get out there and experience the world more and become better global citizens. Their hope is to inspire others to stop relying on media and get out there to see it themselves, eventually making a difference on their own.
Amazing! PBS should do a documentary on this.
