  • Did you stop in Westerly?

  • I think that most trains back in 1997 stopped at Westerly. Not sure about the Acela now in 2008.

  • OMG!!!! THEY EVEN HAD A QUIET ZONE AT SCHOOL STREET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice video btw! Its an awesome route!

  • I rode amtrak on this route a few times and it was awsome. 3/27/1997? This had to have been the time when the F40s were still running on this route because the catenary (carrying wire) didn't get assembled until the summer of '98 to sometime in 2000 when it was complete. Now the AEM-7s, also known as the toasters, HHP-8s, and the Acelas, go by this route as we all know.

  • Yeah this is the nicest train rain in the entire U.S.A., Boston to New Haven. It's especially cool in the wintertime when there's snow on the tracks. :-)

  • I very much like this video. Good job on holding the camera steady.
