For those saying this is "unfair" because the M3 is modified....umm.... Are you aware that you are comparing a BMW that went into production in 2001, vs an Audi that started in 2007? You want fair, put it against the 2007 M3, which wields a 22% increase in horsepower, with only modest (9%) weight increase. Quarter mile time dropped from 13.3 to 12.6.

now THAT would be fair. But hey, if the previous generation still beats the Audi, so be it.

Those Mods on the M3 are small Mods BTW...its nothing bangin. May be a snappier and a deeper engine sound. But nothing your gonna have an orgasm about.. Now if it a HPF M3 thats a completly diffrent story. But both nice cars. Got love for the German Engineering :D

Just telling you.. If you dont know or didnt knew that the RS4 2007 is the fastest sedan car @ Nurburgring then you dont know a shit. If you check BMW's own official site they claim that M3 do 0-60 in 4.6sec. Im not telling you that Audi is better than BMW.. I love both.

I'm off by 6 months on the production date, and that makes my comment the stupidest you've ever read? wow dude. My point was only that it would be MORE FAIR if they compared similar date production cars, not which was better. Everything else you said was irrelevant and off topic.

But FYI: tech specs say E90 M3 does 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds. Audi RS4 of similar year does it in 4.2. And don't tell me the Audi is a better track car. Hang around a track and watch how many Quattros show up ;)

That was the most stupid comment i ever read.. first of all the audi rs4 start to produce early 2006 and the last model made in 2008. If you check m5boards own videos RS4 vs the new M3, 0-270 the RS4 beat that M3.. When they roll start from 50km/h the M3 win. The different is Four wheel drive which is good at the start but bad at higher speed since it weights much more. So stop comparing and @ the track the RS4 is the fastest sedan in the world.. Its fact. Im not Audi or BMW fan
