Voices of a Thousand Gardens in Africa

The Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity, in conjunction with Terra Madre communities, has developed the project 1,000 Gardens in Africa. The goal of the project is simple: create 1,000 food gardens in 26 countries in Africa. Each garden cultivates a diverse range of local plants using sustainable practices and creates a daily supply of fresh produce. So far, 165 gardens have been developed.
