Frederic Lacroix playing the oldest piano in Canada. It's a fortepiano, a style that was the first kind to use hammers to strike the strings in the piano, instead of plucking.

  • What Clementi sonata is this? It is beautiful, as well as the performance.

  • its a early 18th century square fortepiano. Square pianos of the time look like clavichords and almost sound similar sometimes. Besides a clavichord wouldnt be as loud as this instrument.

  • That's a clavichord.

  • Rockin' it like it's 1799!
