i have diabetes and i'm using an insulin pump made by Accu Check
-
well, i didnt pay for it, it was recmended by my doctor and we said yes so, we had to go thorugh a whole training course to get it( yes there is work involved, but its worth it in the end)
but, next time you see your diabetic doctor/nurse, ask them about it and see if they recomend it.
if not, sorry :(

yes my blood sugar levels are a hell of a lot better, but, you really do need to work for it, i had to go this training course xD and it just doesnt work on some people.
I use the insuln pump Medtronic Minimed PARADIGM insulin pump
And, dont worry about the questions, i'll answer as many as i can as fast as i can :)

@joshyking1 Great! I am going to talk to my doctor about getting one. Is your average bloodsugarlevel better, that when you injected the insulin yourself? What kind of pump do you use? Sorry about all the questions, but this could really save me!

How much does it cost to get it. I just found out I am diabetic.

yes i sleep with it on :) i dont really sleep on my belly, i sleep on my side anyway, if you do sleep on it, its not that bothering actually, if you always sleep on your belly you'll get used to it.
Thanks :)
my 5 year old son will be getting his first pump in a few weeks. he is really excited not to have all the shots anymore. What are some precautions we should look for? Have you had any problems with using the pump? Thanks for your video!

ooh brilliant, glad to see more people on the pump, you should look out for when you use the spring to put it in, make sure your finger doesnt get caught there, it doesnt hurt you finger, the needle will go in slowly and break the cannular, so no insluin is delivered. also make sure you dont put the pump in the same place, switch it around a few times, just like injections :).
hope this helps.
thanks

I should be getting a pump by xmas. Great to read + comments on them. Had type 1 for 28 yrs, diagnosed at 17. Not nice, but there are a lot of worse things.
