Happy Mothers day mum!! MOther - Anika moa

My mum requeted this song for me to sing at her wedding.. but i never got around to learning it so last night when i was meant to be studying i decided to play and record it.. (i learnt the words, tune and chords in about 10 minutes.. lol) I know im not great at guitar but i only got my guitar for xmas from my lovely mum of course. So this is for you mum.. i know its a few days late coz mothers day was on sunday and now its thursday night.. haha but its the thought that counts right?

you should really work on your guitar playing and get creative with it because its such a beautiful song. I have done my own cover to that and for it to sound good you need to get some rythum in there. dont mean to sound harsh but i know you can do better with it

@TheSexybecka yeah i should have but i wanted to make the video for my mum for mothers day and i had only just got the guitar and taught myself the chords hense y its not the best. Sorry it didnt make ur standards....

haha i was actually not very good back then. i taught myself how to play.

the chords are D G for most of the song but when it gets to 'though il sleep on it today' it goes Bm A G then back to D G. =)

Yes that was nicely done. Its a great song thats perfect for mothers everywhere. I'm sure she appreciated it. I like Anika Moa but discovered this song of her's after my mother passed away in 2007 I then used it to make a nice slideshow with pictures of her.
