Gran Turismo & Toyota Data Logger Visualization Technology (HD)

Collaboration of Toyota Motor Corporation and Gran Turismo, which utilizes vehicle data and GPS coordinates.
Basically, CAN (Controller Area Network) and GPS data recorded on a real car is exported onto an USB memory stick, and by feeding this data into Gran Turismo's simulation engine, it is visualized as a replay image in Gran Turismo.
CAN data includes G forces, steering, brake & accelerator operations, engine rpm, as well as the rotational speeds of each wheel, and combined with positional data, it is possible to successfully reproduce the recorded drive of a real life car very accurately as seen in the video.
