Alberto Manguel (Buenos Aires, 1948) es autor de un conjunto de ensayos imprescindibles para acercarse a la historia universal del libro, que han obtenido eco internacional y numerosas traducciones. Desde su Guía de lugares imaginarios, sobre los espacios de ficción de la literatura mundial, a su aclamada Historia de la lectura, pasando por La ciudad de las palabras o Diario de lecturas. Es también novelista y autor de distintas antologías literarias.
