Lisa's Bees is an upcoming Children's book that tells the story of a young girl that wants to change the world, starting with the bees! This documentary shows the process of illustrating a children's book using the computer as the main medium. Watch a spread from the book become illustrated right before your very eyes! Written and Illustrated by Isaac Lundgren - Story inspired by the master thesis of Lisa von Koch, and her efforts to change the world , one bee at a time. The music in this project was composed by Isaac Lundgren, and was heard for the first time earlier this year in Command Performers' presentation of Little Women, in Chandler Arizona.

Dedicated to the ART 111 students at ASU

  • Are you working with a Cintique?

  • @susanmiller1 No, I am not drawing directly onto a screen. I am drawing with my hands and tablet on my lap, looking at my monitor. Takes a bit of getting used to, but it has worked out nicely for me. What you want to look for in a tablet is the "pen pressure sensitivity". The higher the number, the more fluidly the digital drawing/painting process will be. My current tablet/pen has 1400 levels of pressure sensitivity, I purchased it in 2006 (w Corel Paint X included) for $149. Works Great!
