  • @clivej52 Don't remember that was that a regular venue?I remember seeing the Shadows there about 1968

  • @naschiism thanks for your personal touch, yes they were good memories indeed

  • great song

  • @latefor singing here on the right is Terry Walker, the drummer was called Fred?, in the back Peter Robinson and left John Farrar. How I know all this? I used to be engaged to a guy called Quentin Irving, also a singer at that time and they all performed at the St.Kilda Town Hall most weekends....Goooood memories

  • Use to watch this amazing band at the Menzies Hotel in Melbourne (I was 14)

  • I believe the lead singer was not their original can anyone help?

  • @clivej52 Must have been at optus uptown? StKilda townhall??

  • @martindemo Thanks your knowledge is excellent, used to play a maton myself but this one passed me by.I new Sam from the Town Criers before when he was in a garage band the rhythm guitarist sold me his maton

  • @latefor .Yep, that bass looks like a Burns Bison, it is actually a Maton"El Toro".

this was a range of Aussie guitars that was heavily promoted at the time. I remember seeing a concert in sydney in 1969 in which most bands played these guitars. This featured such bands as Town Criers and I think Flying Circus

  • This is the line up I saw in Melbourne as a teenager...outstanding group of musicians
