Here is some of the trim I am putting up around the new fireplace I built. I have about $100 in the mantle. The trim I am making (like nearly all the trim I used in the additon) takes a lot of work...hours not work...as I have to cut it out and stain it and wait till it dries then three coats of clear polyurethane on it. Hopefully I have done it all right and don't have to go back and redo it.

I have had no help with the interior after the sheetrock guys finished up. I painted, did the trim, the floors and electrical and plumbing. Of course I originally designed it all first. I started in Jan 2010 so I have been at it for a year so far. If I were to get on it and quit goofing around I could have it done in a couple weeks but it will probably be Super Bowl Sunday when we are planning a party before I get done. Then in the spring I will put the deck on the back. 12"X65'

  • It looks wonderful. I'm amazed by all the progress you've made doing it all yourself.
