Marty Cooper - The Indiana Girl

Marty Cooper performs The Indiana Girl on his 1972 album A Minute of Your Time. I hear some requests for this song but no one seems to know where to find it. While the album was released in 1972 I could almost swear I heard this song while driving through Indiana in 1966.

I have been looking for this for the past 40 years. All I ever found was a recording by Pat Boone covering this. (Yes, Pat Boone covered this too.)

I would love to get a c.d. of this. He has a good voice, and a fine talent for writing, almost up there with Harland Howard.

My country rock band learned this song back in the mid '70s and I think I heard Marty's version once or twice while we were learning it, and hadn't heard it since. Thanks for posting it!
