really? Surprising comment. Hand over hand throttle control is SOP on this approach due to the consequences if your hand slipped off the throttle on short approach.
-
Great job.. Float for a short bit, bleed off the air speed and dump it in. WOW that's a tough approach.

Which Air Tour Airline is this? I am looking to fly to SXM and SBH from SJU as a day trip instead of an overnight stay. Thank you in advance! Oh, great landing!

@beatboxboy97 they do if the wind change.St Barths is part of the Leeward Islands which means Easternly trade winds.Always land a plane downwind on a runway

One Questin:
Why the planes donesen´t land from the other site?
-
Nice job!
I also could suggest using Tradewinds Aviation. They fly a Pilatus and a Caravan out of SJU.

No, this wasn't an air tour service. This was a private pilot/instructor based in St Barths. You could, I imagine, hire an instructor from there or St Martin to give you some lessons/private tour.

No, I haven't tried that one. I just landed (commercially) in Saba. That's an interesting one for sure...

Hey. I'm a private pilot and aircraft owner and would love to one day fly to SBH in my Commander. But I heard somewhere they won't allow you to land unless you've been "checked" out with an instructor. Surely this is only for commercial ops, not private. Heard anything about this?

Yes, that is true. You can not just fly in there and land. You will first need to fly to St Maarten or St. Martin and get an instructor who can get you signed off. I believe it is 10 takeoff and landings into St. Barths before they will sign you off. St. Martin (on the french side) has several instructors.
The pilot on the left is based in St. Barths and that was who was instructing me. He lives there and is a former French fighter pilot.
Good luck and have fun!
