  • Whoops, meant to say "Incidently the word 'gay' meant something else in those days!" Where have the true eccentrics gone? Still here ~ George Michael driving a 4X4 into Snappy Snaps ~ Lady Gaga etc ~ Michael Jackson RIP ~ now that guy was one of the greatest eccentrics who ever lived! Some more will be along soon.

  • @SuperNevile Not sure that I would class them as eccentrics. I would class them as being freakish rather than eccentric. One of them possibly being a 'calculating' freak, one a very disturbed man, another a major drama queen, with the other just being fairly normal really (so called 'stars' seem to think they have to act in childish ways these days).

  • Another band!...and What a Band!...The Bonzos were amazing...As for the true eccentric's...I've been married to 1 for over 30 years...LOL...Cheer's Graham Great Post...

  • I know the feeling, I've had one of those for 28 years. Unfortunately she is unlikely to be around for our 30th.

  • This is the best Lennon/Mc Cartney song that was made by none of them, and still sounding like such one. It should have been included in Sgt. peppers!

  • Absolutely amazing song. The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band are one of the very select few that bring a real air of happiness to my life <3

  • There's a homage reference to this song in Terry Pratchett's comic fantasy novel "I Shall Wear Midnight", in which a witch animates an equestrian statue to serve as a getaway vehicle from those who want to introduce her to the joys of being burnt at the stake...

  • And Sir Elton who has become a proud mum at 63

  • @Klaasklinkert This was written by Neil Innes who wrote Cheese and Onions which was on the eponymous Sgt Rutters Darts Club Band Album. Incidently the word 'gay' meant something in those days!

  • Thanks for the video Graham. They're great!!!

  • Really sorry to hear that Graham...
