best bike money I have spent yet... they paid for themselves in 45 days (due to not having to change tubes @ 5 bucks a pop)

about a thousand miles on my 25c gatorskins and no flats. Correction, I got one flat cause my bike ell off my rack on the highway!!! The rim also tacoed...Im gonna tour the country this spring, and gatorskins are my number 1 choice.

I rode Conti Sprinter Gatorskins(tubs) for so far 9 months, during training for IM competitons and originally I liked em, but I've had 3 flats so far and only 1 was fixable with Vit. Pitstop(which held it together for another 140km). They are just too unreliable if they can't last more than these avg of 500 miles before they flat. 10cents a km is too much for me and I refuse to sit and sew em up.

@TrinityWilderness1 never said anything about getting drunk - get a grip trinity!

at 2500mi I switched the front and rear, at 4000mi now on the same set and still going strong.

wow $50 is a nice deal.. here in LA that would sell for around 150-200. because of the "fixie revolution" lol

I rode a GatorSkin for a year and it was great. I later got caught up in Specialized Armadillo marketing and bought one to replace the old GatorSkin. I had 14 flats within a few months on the Armadillo. Even the bike shop had issues and gave me extra tire tape and rim tape, to no avail. I replaced the wheel itself, checked brakes and had the Armadillo replaced with another new one. 2 more flats, 1 on my first ride and another 2 weeks later. Going back to GatorSkin ASAP.

Bicycling while drunk, coming back from the bar -- Good thinkin'!

How's the rolling resistance in comparison to other tires that you had on the bike?
-
What's the width of them? 28mm?
Yeah man. Hundreds of miles later they are still going strong... well worth the investment. I need to try and find something similar for my 29er (MTB).
