this is a very ignorant definition of racism. seriously get a real dictionary because that is seriously flawed. racism is the belief that all members of a certain race possess possess characteristics or traits specific to that race so as to distinguish them as superior or inferior; racism is prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism based on racist beliefs. seriously educate yourself darling seriously.

im american and i know that having a black president is a huge deal. anyone who says otherwise is clearly ignorant about history and politics not only in our country but in the world in general especially developed democracies.

That's a very narrow (and I would argue dangerously narrow) definition of racism. There are more subtle forms of racism, institutionalized racism being one of them. If people have a narrow view of racism, that opens the doors for all sorts of discrimination to continue, re-emerge, and entrench.
