Test animation of a subwoofer box I designed to go in a late gen S-10 regular cab using sundown E8 drivers and a kicker 400 amp(smokey box in the middle). Lighting was too dark in the back and too bright in the front.

  • that's awesome man but what's with the tiny subs???

  • @kevinthematthews

I challenge you to fit larger subs that will take 400W each in a regular cab s-10 that still allow the seats to go all the way back. Or better yet, subs that work well in a tiny volume box.

  • @malovich i got an 02 S-10 and i have a box with 2 tens and the seat goes almost all the way back, all you have to do is remove the jack-box thing.

  • @alexg0097 This post is worthless without pictures! and besides I didn't use shallow mount subs, if you didn't either then props to you.

  • @jonwhunt just do the math dude, if you dont know then you gotta learn

  • how did you get inventor? ive been looking around and cant find it please pm me

  • Ive built a box like before for a single cab colorado and man that box fuckn slammed hard. I used 2 10's Kicker Comps and i put the amp in the middle. Installation came out looking clean and professional build..

  • It would be better to use sand so that it will not compress or settle differently. The foam peanuts will give you a close idea but will not be as accurate as using sand.

    good luck.

    John

  • @jonwhunt Convert the shapes to cubes if you can....or get packing peanuts and fill the box with them...then put the packing peanuts in 12x12x12 boxes to find how much air they take up.

  • Someone please tell me how to calculate the volume for custom shaped sub enclosures! I've just been doing boxes as a hobby but now I have people asking me to do custom REALLY weird shaped boxes and trying to tell them which sub would work best in the box volume created. If that makes sense lol. Would be great if there was a device that could figure it out somehow =(
