I heard this song in Riverside IA in Dec. Sawyer Brown is my favorite country act. Mark Miller is a funny and entertaining guy. The band got its start on an early season of Star Search and won the grand prize. After that they had hit after hit. They still play the large stages where ever they go after many acts have fallen away. Almost 30 years later and they are still going strong. I had a pitch issue on this take but it was pretty good I thought. I think the vocals need a bit of volume and high end maybe. Its slightly muffled. Thanks for listening.

  • I thought this was really good. Mark Miller is a friend of mine and I'm glad you put this on youtube. good job!

  • @HawkeyeHuddle Thanks for commenting. This song tells the Sawyer Brown story well :)

  • You did a pretty good job here. Really good considering this song isn't even released yet. Sawyer Brown is my all time favorite band, and I like that someone covered something other than one of the big songs.

  • thanks for the comment.

  • Good Job on this new Sawyer Brown Song. Im glad they still make great songs like this.

  • I thought it was pretty cool a sawyer brown fan commented so it means your idea of proper tags worked pretty good.

  • @braneden

yeah well you should always do it the Braneden way...your Hanson cover is way better than the original Hanson song. I'm not even kidding. the Hanson were forcing their words and putting emphasis just to show off their vocals and youre rendition was more meaningful and appropriately subdued. so sing it how you feel it as opposed to how you learned it i guess. anyway i heard the original to this song and that dudes voice is powerful haha.

  • Haha yeah more beer is the answer I believe. Lots of beer. Id like to have done it in a higher key but the lead singer of this band sings very low so I tried it that way.

  • I don't know why, but i find that i enjoy the more somber and melancholy country songs more than any other country music.

next time i want to hear more soul & passion in those vocals man!! i know you got it in ya haha (maybe a nice cold brew will do it haha)

i'm glad you posted another cover.

  • Thanks for the nice comment
