  • He was a very magrinal pitcher, a heavy drinker. He ended up pitching for the Dallas/ Ft. worth Spurs in the late 60,s. I saw him pitch then. It just amazed me that he did what he had done in the world series. When I saw him he was just hanging on in double A baseball. Thats how it used to be. Not to mention he went 3 and 21 in Baltimore.

  • Vin Scully says that he never used the tern "no-hitter" in Sandy Koufax' 4 no-hitters until the last out. But not because of superstition, but because it makes the 9th inning broadcast that much more memorable. His call of Koufax' 1965 perfect game has to be the 2nd most memorable baseball radio broadcast ever, with the 1951 "Miracle At Coogan's Bluff" "("THE GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT!") the most memorable.

  • THANKS!!!

  • I was here! Front row in the Times Center! Brandon Steiner is awesome!

  • thanks for sharing this
